A prayer for guidance...
And He is Allah, The Creator..
"All‚h is He Who has created the heavens and the earth and sends down water (rain)
from the sky, and thereby brought forth fruits as provision for you; and He has made the
ships to be of service to you, that they may sail through the sea by His Command; and He has
made rivers (also) to be of service to you. (Surah Ibrahim, verses 32-34)
And He is Allah, The Powerful...
And He has made the sun and the moon, both constantly pursuing their courses, to be of
service to you; and He has made the night and the day, to be of service to you.
And He is Allah, The Benefactor...
And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of All‚h,
never will you be able to count them. Verily! Man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, -
a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate, denies All‚h's Blessings by disbelief, and by worshipping
others besides All‚h, and by disobeying All‚h
and His Prophet Muhammad)."
And He is Allah, The Trustworthy...
And he [Yaqub] said: "O my sons! Do not enter by one gate, but enter by different
gates, and I cannot avail you against All‚h at all. Verily! The decision rests only with
All‚h. In him, I put my trust and let all those that trust, put their trust in Him.
(Chapter 12, verse 67)
And whoever does righteious good deeds, male or female, and is a true believer in
the Oneness of Allah(Muslim), such will enter Paradise and not the least justice, even to
the size of a Naqira (speck on the back of a date-stone), will be done to them.
(Chapter 4, verse 124)
And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face (himself) to Allah
(ie. follows Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism); and he is a Muhsin( a good-doer -
see Chapter 2, verse 112). And follows the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham), Hanifa ( Islamic
Monotheism - to worship none but Allah Alone). And Allah did take Ibrahim (Abraham) as a
Khalil (an intimate friend). (Chapter 4, verse 124)
Verily, your Wali (Protector or Helper) is Allah, His Messenger, and the believers, -
those who perform As-Salat (Iqama-as-Salat), and give Zakat, and they bow down (submit
themselves with obedience to Allah in prayer). And whosoever takes Allah, His Messenger,
and those who have believed, as Protectors, then the party of Allah will be victorious.
(Chapter 5, verse 55-56)
And what burden Were in on them if they had faith in Allah and in the Last Day, and
they spent out of what Allah hath given them for sustenance? For Allah hath full knowledge
of them. Allah is never unjust in the least degree: If there is any good (done), He
doubleth it, and giveth from His own presence a great reward.
(Chapter 5, verse 55-56)
Umar ibn Abdul-Azeez (d.101H) said, "Whenever Allah gives a blessing to a servant, and
then takes it back from him, and the servant patiently endures his loss, then He rewards
him with a blessing which is better than the one which He took back."
O you who believe! Do your duty to Allah and fear Him. Seek the means of approach to
Him, and strive hard in His Cause as much as you can. So that you may be successful.
(Chapter 5, verse 35)
"O Allah, illuminate my heart with light, and my eyes with light and my ears with
light and let there be light on my right, and light on my left. Let there be light
above me and light below me, let there be light in front of me and light behind me. O
Allah, make me a light."
(Recited by the Prophet Muhammad, s.a.w.s, at the coming of dawn.)
